- Your 30-Minute Zoom — You and your designer refine the plan together. Focused, not exploratory — because the groundwork is already done. Your Zoom is spent deciding, not explaining.

What exactly is The Playroom Edit™?
The Playroom Edit™ is our quick-turnaround layout plan — designed for families who are ready to move and don’t need an extensive design process. You’ll receive a custom layout plan and two curated color schemes so your room feels soothing, balanced, and exactly what you and your kids envisioned. It’s delivered within 3 business days of receiving your information — no lengthy back-and-forth required.
What is included in The Playroom Edit™?
Your Playroom Edit™ includes a custom space layout plan and two complete color schemes — carefully selected so the room feels cohesive and age-appropriate. It does not include full renders, conceptual drawings, or millwork plans. It is a layout plan, not a full virtual design package.
What is NOT included — and why does that matter?
The Playroom Edit™ does not include 3D renders, conceptual drawings, or millwork drawings (such as plans for custom forts, playhouses, or built-in storage). It also does not include revisions — the plan is delivered as designed. If your project requires custom built-ins, detailed construction drawings, or multiple revision rounds, our SMART-E™ EDesign service would be the better fit.
How quickly will I receive my plan?
Your Playroom Edit™ is delivered within 3 business days of our team receiving your completed intake information. We move quickly — because we know you’re ready to get started.
Who It’s Best For
Is The Playroom Edit™ right for me?
The Playroom Edit™ is a great fit if you already have a strong sense of the products and equipment you want, and you’re looking for our design expertise to pull it all together — with a layout that works and color schemes that look intentional and beautiful. It’s also ideal for families who are comfortable being hands-on: you’ll take the plan, verify measurements independently, manage purchasing, and work with your contractor or complete installation yourself.
What kind of installation support will I need?
Any wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted elements — such as monkey bars, swings, climbing walls, or hardware — will require a licensed contractor or an experienced, confident DIYer. Our layout plan will show placement and intent, but structural installation must be handled by someone qualified to assess and work with your specific walls and ceiling. Your contractor will need to verify all measurements and structural requirements on-site before purchasing or installing.
What if I want a custom fort, built-in storage, or a playhouse?
Those elements require millwork drawings and detailed construction documentation, which are not included in The Playroom Edit™. If custom built-ins are part of your vision, we recommend stepping up to SMART-E™ EDesign, which includes the full design package your contractor will need to build with confidence.
Process & Expectations
Are revisions included?
The Playroom Edit™ does not include revisions. The plan is developed based on the information you provide in your intake form and delivered as designed. This is what allows us to offer this service at this investment level and turnaround time. We encourage clients to be as thorough as possible in the intake form — the more detail you share, the better the plan reflects your vision.
What is my role once I receive the plan?
You are an active participant in bringing the plan to life. You’ll take the layout, confirm measurements in your space, manage your purchasing decisions, and coordinate with your contractor or installer. The Playroom Edit™ gives you the design roadmap — your team brings it to the finish line.
How is this different from SMART-E™ EDesign?
SMART-E™ EDesign is a full virtual design service — it includes conceptual drawings, full 3D renders, precise measurements, two color schemes, and a complete implementation package your contractor can work from directly. The Playroom Edit™ is a focused layout plan — faster, more accessible, and designed for families who are further along in their planning and comfortable taking an active role in execution.
